Democracy, rule and individual freedom
Acceptance of all faiths
No repression
Acceptance of everybody

Are Muslim values compatible with British values?

Democracy:

UK	Islam
Consitutional monarchy	Theocratic concept/Totalitarian regime
Queen as head, house of Parliament	God as the highest instance, Kalif or Imam as global sovereign
High representation of the society:

Members of Parliament
Members of the House of Lords | Tendency to go back to the old system → Sovereign is not the society |

→ The democracy is not really compatible with the Islamic system

Rule of law:

UK	Islam
Framework which ensures that a
peaceful society gets created	Sharia is considered as a threat factor
for secular democratic constitutional
states
Protecting human rights	Duty of the individual to protect the
society from violation etc. except as
required by Sharia law
Law and order are prevalent	Aggressiv Islamic extremism
("Islamism") ideological and partly also
massively violent against secular
democratic constitutional states

Respect and tolerance, equality and

development	Koran supports religious liberty but
many parts can be and have been
interpretated as denying it!

signed and ratified the ICCPR
